MADAM, I would like to express my whole hearted support for the Rope Walk Playground Project that Richard Mayo has initiated. I attended the initial gathering of local parents and residents to support the scheme and it was great to see so much passion for this community orientated scheme. It's great in the current economical climate to see so many people wanting to come together to provide something that will improve our area and provide a super facility for not only toddlers but the older children too, which will give enjoyment to our local children and the many visitors our beautiful town attracts.

I would urge your readers to join the Rope Walk Playground page on Facebook and keep an eye out for the fundraising that will begin very soon - in fact its super news that there is already several hundred pounds in the pot - there is a long way to go but with the vision and support of local people, businesses, schools and councils – this is achievable. So please pop into Truffles and pass any donations to Rich he is more than happy to hear your suggestions too. The meeting that took place on September 10th means applications for grants and funding will begin. But I urge everyone who wants to benefit from the new playground to support it now.
