The Ross Action Committee held their annual general meeting on Tuesday evening (May 9th) at Brighterkinds Ross Court Care Home.
Before the meeting began, John Pugh and Clive Lafford, volunteer drivers for the Action Bus, were presented with gifts as a token of the Action Committee’s appreciation.
Rosemary Rigby, President of the Action Committee told the Ross Gazette that John has been a voluntary driver for 21 years and Clive has been essential as he helps so much with maintaining the vehicle, as well as acting as a volunteer driver.
Both John and Clive were given books about Herefordshire, and Rosemary had written individual thank you letters inside.
The Action Committee were then presented with a generous donation of £2000 from retired businessman, Nigel Mummery. Nigel previously owned ABT?Products.
Chairman, David Rose, commented that Nigel has been a long time friend and supporter of the Action Committee and they are very grateful for all he has done and continues to do for the Ross-on-Wye charity.
