In September 2018, an intrepid team at REHAU successfully completed the gruelling climb of the three highest peaks in England, Wales and Scotland to raise money for the company’s chosen charity of the year, Scope.

The challenge brought together 27 people from different departments and locations across the UK, Ireland and Italy and comprised of climbs up Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon. That’s a walk of more than 26 miles, a total climb of over 10,000 feet and more than 450 miles driven between the peaks! 60% of those who participated declared victory and completed the challenge in less than 30 hours, raising £7,500 for Scope so far.

Sergio Fonseca, HR Director at REHAU, said: “We are very proud of our team and commend them for completing this gruelling challenge and for helping to raise a great sum for Scope this year.

“The Three Peaks Challenge was a perfect opportunity to bring our colleagues across different territories together and gave them a chance to interact with people they otherwise would not have necessarily come into contact with in our 500 strong team.

“It was a testament to the team spirit and feeling of togetherness we encourage at REHAU.”

To ensure the team was safe through the challenge, REHAU partnered up with Alexander Adventures. With a wealth of experience in leading teams through expeditions such as the Three Peaks Challenge – both here in the UK and internationally - Alexander Adventures kept team spirits high and ensured that everyone was healthy and safe throughout the challenge.

To assist the walkers in raising money, a fundraising event was held each month from April to August.
