Ross-on-Wye and Herefordshire based farmers have staged a protest at Asda, Hereford on Wednesday, August 5th, having been organised by 3 individuals within the local farming community.
The milk trolley dash was to raise awareness of the decreasing price dairy farmers are receiving for their milk and the current struggle with British Lamb prices. The dash has been happening all across the country over recent days.
The protesters filled several trolley-loads of milk, which they then paid for, before handing them out to the public outside the Asda super store. The farmers asked for donations to the Air Ambulance and St Michael’s Hospice. The amount raised for the charities totalled £314.
