Ross Rugby Club 1st's were looking to get back to winning ways against Dursley on Saturday, and put pressure back on the top two in the Gloucestershire League Division 1. Ross proved too much for the young Dursley side and came away 20 points from 6 winners.

Ross took a good half hour to get into their stride. The previous week's defeat had hurt, and Ross was determined to win. From the off, Dursley tried to move the ball quickly to their outside backs, with the plan of running the home team ragged. But it was the Ross defence that who set the tone of the game. Every time Dursley looked for contact they came off second best.

With big hits from all the Ross pack raining down on the Dursley pack, errors began to creep into their game. It was a Dursley error in midfield that set up the first try for Ross.
