During our 150th anniversary year, The Ross Gazette has been running an appeal to help to raise funds for the Ross Action Bus, our charity of the year.
Members of the Ross Action Committee, who run a mini-bus and ambulance to take elderly local residents on outings and shopping trips, have been fundraising to buy a new vehicle.
When the Ross Action Bus was selected as our charity of the year, the Gazette team stated that we hoped to raise £40,000, which would be put towards the cost of buying this new bus.
Although we are not yet halfway through the year, the Gazette’s fundrasing appeal has done very well; £26,000 has been raised since the Action Bus was chosen as our charity of the year.
The Gazette team is very grateful for the support of our readers for their generosity during the appeal. If you would like to make a donation to the appeal, please pop in to the Gazette office.
