IN THE world of football, Ross girls junior under 13s are celebrating a new season in the top division of the Gloucestershire County Girls league after winning promotion last season.

Matches are played on a Sunday mornings at the Ross Sports Ground on Wilton Road with training taking place every Tuesday evening at John Kyrle High School during the winter.

Coached by Martin Beard and Tony Stevens, they encourage any girl that wants to get involved in football, at any level to come and give it a try.

The team is sponsored by SRA Building Ltd and Michael Schranz Rendering for its matchday and training kit and with a close link with the Lydia Cole Foundation helping with the purchase of new rain jackets.
