The team at Ross for Refugees is continuing to gather donations for the school they helped build in Calais despite the terrible events in France on Friday, November 13th. According to the group’s Facebook page the refugees need help more than ever as some people are blaming them for the attacks in Paris.

The group said:?“This is the very kind of terror and violence that they are trying to escape from.”

Their second van full of donations went off to a collection point in Caldicot last week and will be arriving at refugee camps in Syria and Europe soon.

A team of nine people from the local area are going to help construct shelters in the refugee camp in Dunkirk at the end of November. The team includes experienced builders and joiners.

Ross for Refugees is holding a cake and produce stall at the Ross Christmas Fair on November 29th, donations of cakes, jams, preserves etc are still needed, also more help is needed on the day.
