Ross Juniors U11s travelled to the Lakers School in Coleford on June 18th for the annual Lakers tournament held by Milkwall Football Club. Ross had four games to play and the boys played superbly throughout, talking to one another and with plenty of passing saw themselves through to the semi-final.

Lydney FC dominated the semi-finals with three teams to Ross Juniors one and Ross thought a Lydney win was on the cards. Ross dug deep and beat the winners of group B 2-1 to put Ross through to the final.

Ross went into the final against a very strong Lydney side. Both teams looked evenly matched and the Juniors goalkeeper, Callum, had to make some fantastic saves to keep Ross in the running. A fantastic header from Will made the full time and left a 1-1 score forcing the match into extra time. Two minutes into the first half of extra time Aaron got injured and as he was being tended to on the sidelines George scored to make it 2-1. Lydney weren't able to pull it back and Juniors came away the winners.

All the boys played superbly and their behaviour throughout the tournament was exemplary. Squad consisted of – Callum, Aaron, JayD, Will, George, Sammy and Jack.
