WITH A break in the winter programme Ross fortunately had a friendly planned away from home, and came away with a win.

The game was played at a very windswept and damp Hereford Leisure Centre but the pitch itself was in excellent accommodation.

Both teams started well but Pegasus were assisted by a very strong wind. The Ross defence, captained by Liam, held firm in very demanding conditions and Marcus, when called on, in goal was excellent.

The first half was fairly evenly shared with Ross starting to dominate later on in the half and having a few speculative efforts.

The first ten minutes of the second half was a different story though, Ross with the wind behind them dominated proceedings. Elliot scored Ross' first goal from a very tight angle and Tommy gave Ross their second with another good finish. Matt, Rohan, Lewis and Luke nearly added the third and Harry beat four men on a mazy run only to see his shot just saved.

As the game continued, Ross dominated proceedings playing some good football. Toby was making his debut and he grew into the game as it went on and was very unlucky not to score.

Just before the end Pegasus gained a consolation. The Ross defence stopped play, thinking a foul had been committed. This lack of concentration led to Pegasus scoring with practically the last kick of the game.

Next week Ross are home to Pegasus in the league.
