Ross Juniors U15 started the new season against Hay St Mary's winning by the odd goal, 5-4 in a classic game of two halves.
Ross started strongly and dominated the early play. Jak and James were excellent linking well with the peerless Joel and Chris in midfield, the passing and movement was breathtaking. The first goal came from an incisive pass from Joel finding James whose cross was crashed home by Jak. Ross were in charge and impressively held Hay at bay, with Ollie, Jacob, Dexter and Jake providing the perfect defensive platform. Joel again went close before a corner from Ollie found James who headed a second. Ross were in total control and the excellent Matt scored a third with an unstoppable volley and Scott scoring a typical goal to make it 4-0. With half time seconds away Hay were awarded a very dubious penalty and the half- time score was 4-1.
