Ross started their season in emphatic style with a merciless 7 – 0 demolition of an experienced Cirencester B team.

In the record breaking October heat Ross dominated the game from the first push back. They spurned several good chances before finally taking the lead towards the end of first half when experienced striker Adrian Williams eventually slotted the ball into the roof of the net. His first attempts were well saved by the Cirencester Keeper.

The score remained 1 – 0 going into the half time break, Ross were fully aware that the game should have been put well out of Cirencester's reach already and that 1 – 0 is never a comfortable lead.

Thankfully in the second half Ross finally found their rhythm and terrorised the Cirencester defence and enjoyed such supreme supremacy that the Ross back four were defending from inside the Cirencester half.

Within minutes of the restart Ross were 2 – 0 up, this was quickly followed by a third, fourth and fifth.

Even the oldest and most experienced of the Ross back four Sam Warner managed to get on the score sheet with a well struck shot from the top of the D to make it 6 – 0. It was left to Adrian Williams to finish off the rout which he did in style by rounding the Cirencester goal keeper then slotting the ball between the legs of the defender on the line. Williams finished the game with 4 goals to his name and should be full of confidence going into next week's fixture at home verses Cheltenham C

The South Herefordshire Motorcaravans Man of the Match was awarded to Alex Bargh.
