Ross-on-Wye Pride took place at the Hope and Anchor on Friday, August 9th. Despite the rain, lots of fun was had by all who attended. The Pride organisers give their thanks to all of those involved in the event, including the Hope and Anchor, MDR Theatre Services, IDo-Entertainments, Sainsbury’s and West Mercia Police.Isabell End, one of the performers at Pride, said: "I had a great time and it was lovely to meet and talk more to some of the lovely people involved in bringing the town’s first Pride to life!
“Well done to all of the people and crews supporting the event and all of the performers!”
Organiser, Charlii Barton, said: Ross Pride ran better than anyone could have predicted, and even the weather wasn’t a deterrent from making the day a huge success. We can’t wait to do it all again next year.”
The organisers have also asked for feedback on Ross’ first Pride, and some have suggested holding it on a weekend next time so that more people might be available to celebrate and enjoy the event.See the full story in this week’s edition of the Ross Gazette, or subscribe to our online edition here
