Councillor Richard Mayo asked his fellow Ross-on-Wye Town Councillors to keep up the pressure on Balfour Beatty to carry out regular maintenance on the Flood Alleviation Scheme.

The Town Council has been asked to comment on the Herefordshire Council’s Local Flood Risk Management Plan.

At the Full Meeting of Ross Town Council on Monday, December 12th, Cllr Mayo said: “We need to highlight the importance of the Ross Flood Alleviation Scheme. It makes such a difference to Brookend, there have been no real problems since it was installed, but it requires proper maintenance.”

The Planning Committee will consider the consultation and respond.
