ROSS-on-Wye Lions Club lit up the sky with their spectacular firework display again this year much to the delight of an appreciative crowd.
The event, which was combined with Hallowe’en fun, brought young and old, families and individuals together as they oohed and ‘ahhed at the amazing, coloured firework display, despite the looming fog on the horizon obscuring some of the exploding effects.
This year, there was a marquee full of spooky delights and thrills for the young and young at heart to enjoy, along with a bouncy castle and a whole variety of light sticks and wands for the youngsters.

The Hallowe’en theme was adopted by many in the crowd who attended in their costumes featuring ghosts, ghouls, witches, vampires, zombies, werewolves and skeletons.
A well-stocked food court welcomed people on site before the main event, with food and drink supplied by local traders and Ross Rowing Club.
Major thanks are due to all those who supported this event as volunteers, many from other local organisations – who all gave up their time and helped in their different ways.
Members of Hereford Hospital Radio provided a commentary of proceedings an motivated the crowd before the firework display.
The Lions also acknowledge the support of Ross Rowing Club for the use of their ground for the weekend and all those who volunteered just for the night to make the event enjoyable and safe.

The hundreds of pounds raised by this event, and all events and donations to Ross Lions, are used to help local and international good causes.
It is too early at this stage to give any sort of calculation as to the amount of proceeds that have been raised from this annual event.
Ross Lions are men and women who volunteer their time and skills to make a difference in their community. If you want to know search rossonwyelions on Faceook.
