April Shipton, a singer/songwriter from Ross-on-Wye, has had her music accepted by a national radio station.
UCB, a broadcasting network reaching millions in the UK with Christian music, TV and other resources, will add April Shipton’s latest song ‘Til I’m Blue’ to its playlist this week.
“I’ve always got UCB radio on in the background, it keeps me company and fills my home with great contemporary Christian music.” April told the Gazette. “Producer Steve Best informed me on Twitter that I had made the playlist, I was so excited I was jumping around the kitchen!”
The 25 year old has been writing music since she was a teenager, inspired by her Christian faith. This year, she turned her singing passion into a full-time job and has since had her music played on BBC Hereford & Worcester radio as well as performing at events including Ross Beer Fest and the Hay Festival.
‘Til I’m Blue’ is a contemporary bluesy rock song, and will feature on the singer’s upcoming debut demo album which she plans to launch later this year.
