Classes from Whitchurch and Weston Under Penyard Primary Schools visited Stratford upon Avon on January 10th. They toured the birthplace of Shakespeare, finding out about his early childhood and family life, as well as visiting the ‘New Place’ where he died.
This term, the children will be learning about Shakespeare’s influence on British Culture through studying his life and some of his works. A particular highlight of this trip was a visit to the strong rooms at The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, where many precious artefacts not available for general viewing are stored.
Jess said, ‘This trip has really inspired me to find out even more about Shakespeare.’
