Dear Editor,

I am writing to you regarding my father, Charles Doughty. He is now 85 years old and is very ill at present. I am trying to find out any information about the evacuees in World War II in this area. He was evacuated to a farm at Ross-on-Wye.

He has given me the names of Weston under Penyard and Bromsash. He said he stayed at Ashgrove Villa, which was a farm owned by a couple who did not have any children.

I know it is a long shot but I wondered whether anyone had any information which my father could look at, about this time or the area, I know my dad would enjoy reading them.
