Ross Photo Club have held their second themed competition of the season.

Members of the club were required to submit photos under the theme ‘vanishing’.

This competition has been described as a difficult one but despite this, some great, well thought out images were submitted.

Second and third place in the colour category went to Malcolm School’s ‘Snake in the Sand’ and Chris Hawkins’ ‘Misty Morn’. Highly commended went to John Crowland’s ‘The Open Door’ and Brian Challis’ ‘Racing to Oblivion’. Roger Irwin’s ‘St Edmunds Church’ and Darion Churchill’s ‘321 Gone’ were commended.

Second and third place in the mono category went to Alan Ockenden’s ‘Vanishing Point’ and Sandra Walding’s ‘Ghosts in the Alley’. Highly commended went to Matthew Rainer’s ‘Manhatten in the Fog’ and Chris Hawkins’ ‘Beach Huts’. Jennie O’Brien’s ‘Over the Hills and Far Away’ and Allan Ockenden’s ‘Can You See Me (Stick Insect) were commended.
