Ross court resident, Betty Lewis, enjoyed a visit from fellow WRAF veteran Mary Sinclair-Powell.

Mary had recently been to a presentation at Hereford Cathedral to celebrate 100 years of the RAF. She returned to share with Betty a beautifully illustrated book, full of many wonderful photos from 1939 to the present day, recognising the history of the service.

Betty, who is 101-years-old, is still able to remember many different events including a very difficult communication that she sent to our Queen regarding the death of her father, King George VI.

Betty and Mary enjoyed sharing their personal stories, and both expressed how proud they were to be part of the RAF and how it made them who they are today.
