ROSS met Monmouth for an epic 88 frame pool contest recently and Ross cruised to an emphatic 58-30 (aggregate) victory. The fixture was played over two legs with Ross travelling to Monmouth for the first and establishing a healthy 36-12 lead. The Mighty 8 Pool Club in Ross was the venue for the second leg and once again Ross prevailed with a 26-18 score line. The ashes from a burnt cue were placed in an urn for Ross to hold until the two towns do battle again next year!
