Ross was celebrating plenty of local talent at the now annual Ross Rocks event on Saturday.
Although it got off to a slow start, thanks to the indifferent weather, the crowds soon built up and organiser Tina Jones told the Gazette that everyone seemed to be having a good time.
She said: "There was a real mix of ages and several young fans spent the afternoon dancing to all the bands."
Mel Hodges who was a steward said that he had never heard such talented youngsters as the band called The Phaze.
Tina added that it had been a really successful day with a great atmosphere. She hoped that they had broken even as they had incurred some last minute expenses due to the move from the river side to the Wilton car park. Luckily she said that a local company had lent a stage as they were unable to use the bandstand. She said that she hopes the event will return to the Caroline Symonds Garden next year.
She said that she was pleased that they had decided to go ahead despite the terrible recent weather and Herefordshire Council was good to give permission for the move.
