Nicola Andrews, of the Beauty Bar in Ross-on-Wye, has taken the bull by the horns for her work colleague, Lisa South, who had a lumpectomy due to early stages of breast cancer in July 2019.
Nicola, who describes Lisa as her “friend and partner in crime” is taking part in a skydive to help raise money for Breast Cancer Care. She told the Ross Gazette: “After Lisa’s operation I decided to do something to raise money for the amazing charity, Breast Cancer Care. We were all shocked at the salon to hear Lisa had to be off work longer than expected due to longer treatment, so we decided to have a Wear it Pink Day on October 18th. Please call in for tea and coffees, and cakes will be on sale to boost our fundraising.”
Nicola’s sky dive is on October 20th, and she hopes that combined with the salon’s Wear it Pink Day, at least £1000 will be raised as a thank you for the care and support that Lisa has received.
