MADAM, How sad it is to see the lovely old Walter Scott Charity School in Old Gloucester Road gently falling into ruin as the years go by.

Surely the local council, or a commercial enterprise, could try to do something about this. Ross-on-Wye is an historic town and a building that has lasted since 1784 should be respected, and not left to die in ignominy.
