Many events have taken place at local schools to raise money for Children in Need this year.

This included pupils and staff at Spring Gate Nursery School in Brampton Abbotts, who have enjoyed donating money and participating in this year’s Children in Need fundraiser.

The children dressed up in spots and their pyjamas, and enjoyed making Pudsey masks.

Also, children and staff at Monmouth Schools Pre-Prep and Nursery, donned spotty and Pudsey Bear-themed clothing in aid of Children in Need.

The children made Pudsey Bear masks and hats and stick-pin Pudsey puppets, while they also took part in a baking competition.

The Friends of Agincourt rounded off a fun-packed day with a cake sale, which raised £288.88.

There was also plenty of activity at Monmouth School Boys’ Prep, where a bring-and-buy and a cake sale helped to raise £555.

’Children in Need Day’ at Ashfield Park School also always means a chance to dress like Pudsey and the thrills of an inter-house talent competition, with guest judges were invited to the school. This year the talent show challenge was won by the members of Cantilupe House.

On Friday, November 17th, the pupils of Ashfield Park raised £340 for this very worthwhile charity, this is an increase of over £100 on last year’s total.
