Community First Responders for Ross-on-Wye were on hand on Saturday morning, June 1st, to thank the members of Ross Lions personally for the funds they donated to pay for the purchase and equipment of a second response vehicle.

The equipment includes a state of the art defibrilator as well as all the other equipment required to allow these volunteers to respond to emergency calls on behalf of the ambulance service.

The Community First Responders believe that having two vehicles with the official signage will enhance their image but it also means they can offer a greater level of response in bad weather, such as snow or ice.

The maintenance of the vehicle and servicing of the new vehicle will be carried out by BG Landrovers.
