Concern about Councillor Harry Bramer's plans to build six houses at Caradoc Court, resulted in Sellack Parish Council holding a public meeting on Wednesday, November 27th.
The leader of Sellack PC, Hillary Fordyce chaired the meeting attended by about 40 to 50 local residents. Councillor Bramer, and other Herefordshire Councillors, Jenny Hyde, John Jarvis and Phil Cutter were present, as were members of the Parish Council.
Ms Fordyce explained that 1994 conditional planning permission was granted by planners to build six houses in a field down the bridleway from the Court toward Sellack Church, despite ferocious opposition from neighbours, and from residents of Kings Caple, who overlook the site.
Planners said this was an 'enabling development' to allow the then owner to have funds released by the development to pay for the completion of the restoration of the historically important Caradoc Court.
