The Club's Senior Section recently held two of their annual events, Captain's Day and the Senior Open. Captain's Day was played in teams of three, the best two scores counting, with team and individual winners. The top three team placings were Winners: Brian Moore, Mark Jones and Garry Grinstead; Runners-up: John Tecke, John Martin and Clifford Noonan; and in 3rd place: Peter Bird, Peter Taylor and Graham Jones. The individual results were Winner: Ian Corbitt; Runner-up: Peter Atkins; and 3rd: Vin Kilty. Prizes were presented by Captain Peter Sawyer who also rewarded Nearest the Pin and Straightest Drive winners.

The Seniors Open was played in an individual, qualifying, stableford, 3-ball format with two age categories: category 1: 55 and over; category 2: 70 and over. The results were: category 1: Winner Bob Gwilliam (South Herefordshire Golf Club); 1st Runner-up: Henry Rivers (also SHGC), 2ndRunner-up: Gary Martin (SHGC); category2: Winner: Ray Causon (SHGC). The two who qualify to go forward to represent Division 1 and Division 2 in the County Open in the autumn are Bob Gwilliam (nett 65) and Chris Drew (net 67).
