The sun shone down on Saturday, August 31st, as families, music lovers and cider drinkers gathered at the grounds of The Alma Inn to enjoy the Linton Summer Sessions, now in its ninth year.

Organised by Gemma and Dan Evans of the multi award winning CAMRA real ale and great food pub, The Alma Inn, the Summer Sessions helps to raise money for local charities while bringing together and promoting the community. As the music drifted in and out of pop-rock, blues and soul, children enjoyed bouncy castles, face painting, a joke competition, and an ice cream van.

A raffle was drawn in the early evening, sponsored by The Village of Linton Trust, (VOLT) who organised teas, coffees and cakes throughout the day. As well as great prizes for those who entered, the raffle offered a further opportunity to boost funding for VOLT and other chosen charities.See the full story in this week’s edition of the Ross Gazette, or subscribe to our online edition here
