Rosemary Heigl-Williams grew up in Herefordshire and attended Hereford High School for Girls. After her marriage in 1974 she moved to Germany but has a holiday cottage on Wye Street in Ross-on-Wye where she and her husband frequently stay.
On Monday, July 23rd, at this year’s Royal Welsh Show in Builth Wells, Rosemary was awarded a beautiful Welsh cut glass rose bowl by the President of the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society, accompanied by his wife. This was in recognition of the fact that Rosemary has been a steward at the Show for 50 years, 44 years of which she has travelled from Germany, in order to be able to attend the Show.
Her family has a long connection with the Royal Welsh, her grandfather, Matthew Williams having been a steward and Council Member as far back as 1931, and her father Tom Williams likewise, from 1953 until his death in 1974. Rosemary was delighted and very proud to receive this special award.
