Cirencester 37 Ross on Wye 0
Ross Rugby Club 1st XV felt the full brunt of an abrasive and committed Cirencester side on Saturday, losing convincingly 37 - 0. A number of late withdrawals through illness did not help matters, however, in the end Ross were well beaten by a strong Cirencester outfit.
With a number of players playing out of position and a few new younger players getting their league debuts it was always going to be difficult for Ross, however for the first quarter they more than held their own, working hard in both attack and defence. But a poor second quarter saw the match taken away from them as Cirencester scored four quick tries, all of which came as a result of poor tackling. Cirencester raced to a 25 - 0 lead at half time.
Next Saturday, December 12th, Ross are home to Frampton Cotterell with a 2.30pm kick off.
