Philip Thompson of Ross competed in The British National Ploughing Championships in Kent on October 11th and he won his class (The Young Farmers Conventional Ploughing). He ploughs with a Ferguson TEF20 tractor and uses a David Brown plough that his grandad Richard Yemm successfully competed with for many years. Philip is a member of the The Trumpet and District ploughing society and is employed by E C Drummond and Sons.
