Ross Juniors Under 8s, 9s, 10s and 11s embarked on their annual end of season tour to PGL Liddington in Wiltshire to celebrate the end of a long and successful season.
The tournament was contested between Ross and two sides from Swindon Town, Croft Juniors and Wanborough. There was some excellent football played with great spirit and Crofts A won the tournament narrowly from Ross A and Ross C.
Swindon Town brought their Academy teams to play Ross Juniors on Saturday morning. As all the boys playing are signed on contractual terms with Swindon the standard of football is high and Ross tend to play Swindon's age group one year below.
This year Ross Under 9s, with a Finn hat-trick, beat Swindon 3-2. The Under 10s, with a huge array of goalscorers, won by an impressive 11-2 margin and the Under 11s completed a hat trick of wins with a 6-5 result. George scored five and Eddie the winner in a thrilling encounter. To beat all three sides is a massive achievement for Ross. Read the full report in this week's Gazette.
