THE Summer Buzz is continuing in Ross-on-Wye with businesses offering the chance to win some great prizes in the free-to-enter prize draws.
The latest winners picked from the Summer Buzz’s Facebook page include Erica Beckford who was ‘over the moon’ to have won an amazing prize of a hamper from Truffles Delicatessen which looked like a lot to carry.
Erica was photographed outside Truffles’ recently opened second premises on the High Street, which has also has a secret cellar downstairs full of wines, ciders, and spirits with a focus on the very best local producers in Herefordshire.
Meanwhile Katie O’Bateman was delighted to have won the prize draw of a £25 voucher from AtBroadSt, a shop full of women’s clothes and accessories whose owner Sally Bundy has been a champion of Summer Buzz right from the first idea of creating Summer Buzz for Ross.
The Summer Buzz campaign aims to encourage tourists and residents alike to stay and shop locally throughout the summer months.
The initiative aims to provide a splash of colour that encourages a community feel. It is running from now until to the end of August with a variety of local shops, restaurants and cafés offering deals throughout the period.
Shops and businesses in the town centre are sporting the campaign’s by putting up bunting, flags and other window decals to bring the buzz into their shopfronts and windows.
As part of the campaign examples of street art have been popping up throughout the town centre. These works of art have been created and painted by Sarah Morton from Art Studio Ross.
The Summer Buzz campaign initiative was originally planned for 2024, but when the town was subjected to flooding and other issues the scheme was mothballed until this year.
