Ross driver James Sibbet comprehensively secured the British Caterham 'Supergrad' championship with a hard-fought victory at Thruxton, a record-breaking eighth consecutive race-win for the 22-year old.
The start saw James make good use of the slipstreaming for which Thruxton is so famous, picking off the two drivers heading him on the grid to hit the lead as he emerged from the final chicane, only for the race to be red-flagged for a crash involving three cars further down the field.
A lengthy delay on the grid for the removal of damaged cars only helped increase the tension.
