The Ross-on-Wye Scope Shop is just one of the charity’s shops throughout the country which fundraise to ensure disabled people have the same opportunities as everyone else.
Friends of the Ross shop, Mark Weldt and Lynette Munoz, accompanied by Billy Wonkey Legs, Lynette’s dog, appeared in Ross Market Place dressed as Superheroes last week.
Aiming to attract plenty of attention the pair were handing out stock collection bags and making people aware of the charity’s latest campaign Clobber your Clutter.
Scope shops are aiming to collect 150,000 bags of donations this July to help them raise £3 million.
They want people to clear out their wardrobes and cupboards and donate any items they no longer want or need to Scope. By taking part in Clobber your Clutter you will have a tidier home, reduce landfill and help Scope.
Everyone bringing donations to the Ross shop during July will receive a lucky number. At the end of the month one number will be selected at random to win a meal for two at the Saracen’s Head.
