The full moon over Ross-on-Wye is currently a spectacular supermoon: the largest in over 70 years.
The moon reached the peak of its full phase yesterday (Monday, November 14th) and several local photographers made sure they captured the event on their cameras.
The moon will also appear full tonight, the day after the main event.
As well as being the most impressive full moon of this year, appearing up to 14% larger and 30% brighter than usual, this month’s supermoon will also be the closest to Earth since 1948.
A moon of this size will not appear in skies again until November 25th, 2034.
