Lots of schools, community groups and individuals are taking part in events for Sport relief this year.

Ed O’Driscoll and William Wilding of playross.com, are organising a group challenge on Saturday, March 19th as part of the Sport Relief weekend.

They are looking for individuals or teams willing to take part, so if you are wondering what you could do to raise money that weekend - this is your chance. Just do the Challenge, and get your friends or family to support your efforts by donating to Sport Relief.

William told the Gazette: “The beauty of this event is that it’s a WIN WIN WIN event!”

Local charities get money as you shop, Sports Relief gets the money your supporters donate and you get a new set of clothes.

Visit playross.com for details of how to donate (and the rules), or you can just turn up at 1.45pm on the day at the Market House.

Ross resident James Weatherhead is taking part in a 2.5km sponsored swim at Hereford Pool to raise funds for Sport Relief on Sunday, March 20th at 12 noon.
