Madam, With Tesco like-for-like sales down by 2.4% over the Christmas period and Warren Buffett slashing his investor holding in the supermarket by 27% (Telegraph 1/3), it looks like panic stations as Tesco announce a "£1 for 4 pints of milk" campaign which is sure to hit the farmers again.

Maybe they should ditch the idea of an unneeded supermarket and just open up the petrol station on its own to replace all those independent ones they, and the other supermarkets, have driven out of business?
