Ross Motor Club is holding three events this month. The first is on Thursday, December 10th, meeting at the club house in Kyrle Street, in Ross-on-Wye, at 6.30pm. This is a members’ only evening rally. All comers will be welcome to observe how this type of event runs. More marshals would be welcome, to experience a taste of what the club does at entry level.

On Saturday, December 12th the club will be holding an Auto Test from 12.30pm at the cattle market next to Labels. This has been deemed a taster event and is open to anybody with a road worthy road car.

An Auto Test consists of driving around bollards against the clock. As the road surface is smooth there is no damage to cars. It has proven to be a fun event, essentially competing against yourself and the clock. The charge is £5 per entrant to cover the clubs’ insurance.

Then there is to be a ‘Noggin and Natter’ night from 8pm at the club house on Thursday, December 17th. Anyone and everyone is welcome to attend and meet long term members to chat about motor sport and cars from grass roots to international events.

The club needs more members to keep this active club running successfully. Membership is £20 per year, for this you receive a monthly club newspaper and membership of a very vibrant club. Ross Motor Club is one of a very few in the country with its own club house and bar. The club has been running for over 50 years. The only way to find out if you would enjoy it is to come to the club any Thursday night from 8pm to have a look for free.
