MADAM, MAY I, through your letters page, thank the people of Ross who, by means of Ross Town Council, have provided smart new fencing and a refurbished sign at Ross Weather Station. We, the Observers, hope it will keep us secure but visible.
Readers may also like to know that although the Met Office offered Ross the chance to become an automatic station, we have decided to continue to record the weather manually. We provide a wider range of data and enjoy doing it.
