Madam, I would like to express my thanks, on behalf of Hands Around the World charitable trust, to all those who attended the 'hands on theatre' production of 'Playhouse Creatures' last week at Goodrich Village Hall.

I think every audience member would agree that the story (a heart-warming and thought provoking account of the lives of England's first actresses) was beautifully brought to life by the cast, directed by Richard Sheppard.

I would, of course, also like to thank locally-based 'hands on theatre' for their continued support for the charity.

Since 2001, they have put on annual productions to raise money for our work supporting orphaned and vulnerable children in sub-Saharan Africa and India.

We are delighted that this year there will be two productions, as Christmas week will see the nativity retold in an original and inspiring piece by Richard Sheppard – 'Boy with the Fire in his Eyes' December 22nd Dec, 7.30pm, at Ross Baptist Church.
