MADAM, The spring concert in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, held at Ross Bowling Club on Saturday March 12th, was a huge success.
It was a very lively evening presented by the Drybrook Ladies Choir and led by its conductor, Barbara Wright. Their wide-ranging programme was complimented by soloists Steve Liddle of X-centricity fame, together with Alison and Holly from John Kyrle. Linda and Paul Speed accompanied the choir & soloists. The capacity audience was treated to a wealth of talent.
The Bowling Club members were very generous hosts, and to them, the ladies who provided a delicious supper, the bar staff and all the musicians, a heartfelt thank you.
The proceeds from the concert and the raffle, with a star prize of a hamper provided by the choir, amounted to £638. This money will help support of local cancer patients and their families.
