Madam, We promised that the weekly black bag collection is safe in our hands and it so remains in these difficult times when we have to differentiate between essential and desired services.

Dealing with adult social care is essential, providing black bags is hard to weigh up against current challenges.

We seriously regret any difficulty that this may cause and I would also like to thank the many people who have written to me suggesting that our course of action given the circumstances was right.

In the near future we will be organising a public meeting to discuss this and any other issues. We will be publish the date and time in this paper.
