MADAM, In the Hereford Times, March 13th, 2014, p17 there is an interesting article concerning the overall review of urgent care provision in the County. Watchdog Hereford is pressing for the following to be to be part of that review – "Hereford needs a new market town community hospital of its own to ease the pressure on urgent care services in the city."

Why does one read in the Ross Gazette, March 19th, 2014, Dr Rogers comment:?"The Community Hospital has been great but is under threat"? If there are not enough beds for patients in Herefordshire, a new hospital might be justified if there are no alternatives - but if a new hospital for Hereford entailed the closure of any of the existing community hospitals can the expenditure be justified?
