MADAM, Mrs Wendy Cogger's letter of July 23rd has prompted me to write. Over the past five or six years I have had four falls, either on the uneven pavements or kerbs jutting above the pavement. Two caused no injury but I was badly shaken. One resulted in a black eye and badly bruised face. The fourth, which occurred at the top of Wye Street on February 4th, necessitting me to be taken to Hereford A&E by ambulance, being then transferred to Worcester Royal Hospital A&E where I was admitted and found to have a broken nose and fractured upper jaw. I have gone through a lot of discomfort and worry and even now am not fully recovered. Mrs Cogger's letter and mine, together with the many letters I have read over a period of time, and the many people one speaks to, who have had similar experiences, must make our district and local councillors consider this matter very seriously. And more importantly take action to remedy it, not only for Ross residents but for the many visitors and tourists who come here.
Mrs Joy Lodge, Ross
