The Mayor of Ross-on-Wye, Councillor Colin Gray, and the Mayoress, Mrs Anne Gray hosted the annual Mayor’s Ball on Saturday, March 19th, at the Chase Hotel.
A wonderful three-course dinner was served, before Monmouth Big Band took to the stage so the dancing could begin.
The guests all had a wonderful time, and the event raised funds for a local charity, which the Mayor and Mayoress have supported for many years; St Michael’s Hospice. The cause is very close to the couple’s heart.
During the evening, the Mayor thanked all who attended, and presented bouquets of flowers to the Mayoress, Rachel Lewis the Deputy Town Clerk, and Joanne Skelton the Administration Assistant, who had put in a great deal of work to ensure the evening was a special one. He also thanked Cllr Phil Cutter, who had acted as MC for the evening.
When the Ross Gazette went to press, the monies raised for St Michael’s Hospice was still being counted.
