A Christmas children’s show, The Snow Queen, opens today (Saturday, December 10th) at The Courtyard Theatre in Hereford.
This family friendly show, inspired by the fairy tale written by Hans Christian Andersen, will take children on an adventure of imagination and exploration.
After Kay is taken by The Snow Queen to her castle, his best friend Gerda must travel across many countries and face many dangers to rescue him from her evil grasp.
The audience will be taken on a journey as performers Mark Collier and Kate Powell transform into many different characters to tell the story of The Snow Queen, alongside original songs and music.
David Durant, Associate Director at The Courtyard, said, “This performance will spark children’s imagination as the story of The Snow Queen is brought to life for our audiences this December. This is a Christmas treat perfect for all of the family, but particularly magical for young children.”
Aimed at a younger audience than Pantomime, The Snow Queen is ideal for families with children aged seven and under.
The Snow Queen will be in The Courtyard’s Studio Theatre from Saturday 10th – Saturday 31st December. To book tickets, or for more information contact the Box Office on 01432 340555 or visit www.courtyard.org.uk.
