MADAM, The photo was taken at RAF Pembrey in South Wales, on annual camp holiday, which was for 14 days. Most of the cadets in the photo were from Ross Secondary Modern, as this is where the squadron was formed in 1952 or 1953. Both officers in the photo were founders of the squadron, and teachers at the school.
The squadron was a very close-knit unit, as everybody knew everybody else. Parades were held at the school until we had our headquarters moved to new premises in Corpus Christie Lane.
