Brampton Abbotts Village Hall trustees welcomed more than 40 local residents to an event, on on September 12, showcasing the renovation progress of the village hall following storm damage a number of years ago. The trustees outlined how they intend to communicate ongoing progress, the fundraising needs, and what works are required to get the hall open again. Refreshments were donated by Hanks, Morrisons, and The Tap House for the event.

A total of £3,100 was raised from the launch of a “Buy a Brick” Campaign. Individuals show support by purchasing a plaque inscribed with their name, to be displayed on the village hall wall. A further £7,750 was raised from an annual corporate sponsorship initiative, taken up by EOB Distribution Ltd; Oak House Nursery School; and The Evans Family, Overton.

The event bolstered feelings of community; attended by new and existing parishioners, members of the local Parish Council, and the Brampton Abbotts Church Regeneration Group, who also shared an update on “The Daily Bread Bakery” project in St Michael and All Angels Church.

Many individuals have volunteered their time to get the village hall to the stage it is at. Trustees would like to thank everyone for their support. People can find out more on the progress of the hall including fundraising and volunteering at
